QC has been active and operational in Somali since 2007 through its field office in Mogadishu. It has a portfolio of programs focusing on both humanitarian and development sectors. It works to promote social protection, promotion of better life and uplifting those affected by crises. It works and collaborates with all including federal and state level institutions, community leaders and civil societies to ensure that QC programs are designed and responds to priorities and gaps identified at local level.

The Main purpose of the recruitment:

Project coordinator will work under the direction of the program director and work to mange and implement QC projects in Somalia at all stages. He will be leading on the process to identify gaps, design projects based on priorities, organize project papers and documentations and also lead on implementation and field works. H/she will monitor and supervise field works and guide those working in these projects. Also, h/she will be required to work with the portal system to upload project progresses and proposals.

Key roles and responsibilities:

1- The ability to coordinate projects, follow-up initiatives, and implement operational plans in cooperation with the concerned units.

2- Managing implementation procedures and documenting achievements.

3- Providing detailed Reports to the program director and the stakeholders about the project progresses and challenges.

4- Providing significant support on the preparation of technical proposals, participate field bases assessments and recommend priorities.

5- Coordinating and communicating with the implementing and contracting organizations/vendors and do participate technical evaluations on both financial and narrative reports generated by the partners by providing feedbacks based on project target indicators and outcomes.

6- Participate in the preparation of project assessments and implementation in the best standards, with the coordination of concerned units.

7- Coordination with other departments regarding the technical designs of the projects.

8- Follow-up work plans, document project stages, and prepare reports.

9- Participate on coordination platforms to present QC programs in Somalia.

10- Fulfilling any other competencies assigned by the direct supervisor within the nature of the work.

Job requirements:

  1. Master’s /Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management or social work.

  2. Minimum five years of experience in the field.

  3. Experience in Managing project in the context of crises and emergency.

  4. Knowledge of the working environment and local context.

  5. Experience on QC program delivery in Somalia.

Qualification that increases chances:

1) Excellent written and oral communication skills in Arabic.

2) Ability to manage complex teams.**

3) Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.**

4) Excellent in using MS Office, especially Word, Access and Excel. **
